Hudson out as head football coach at Lee High School
By GRAHAM DUNN
After three seasons, Eric Hudson is no longer the head football coach at Robert E. Lee High School.
Hudson confirmed late Thursday that he was relieved of his coaching duties but would not comment further.
“I am no longer the head coach,” Hudson said. “I have enjoyed my time leading these young men.”
Montgomery Public School athletic director Dr. Patrick Fenderson confirmed the news without comment.
Lee athletic director Tyrone Rogers could not be reached for comment.
Hudson led Lee to an 8-3 record this past season and a second-round finish in the Class 6A playoffs. In three years, he led the program a total of 25 victories and two post-season berths.
Before taking the head coaching position at Lee, Hudson was defensive coordinator under Rogers. He had also been an assistant at Alabama State.
