SEC Media Days back in Atlanta beginning Monday
By GRAHAM DUNN
The SEC’s annual Kickoff Media Days schedule is out.
It has a normal look but a different venue.
For the second time, the event will be held at the College Football Hall of Fame in Atlanta. It begins Monday and runs through Thursday.
For all but two years (1985-2017), the event has been held in Birmingham sans the year of 2020, when the event was canceled due to COVID-19.
Last year, only two players were invited with the coaches. This year, the event is back to three.
Alabama will take to the podiums on Tuesday and Nick Saban will bring a couple of Heisman Trophy candidates including last season’s winner in quarterback Bryce Young along with linebacker Will Anderson, Jr. Defensive back Jordan Battle will also be in attendance.
Bryan Harsin will make his second appearance as Auburn’s head coach and will have running back Tank Bigsby, defensive end Derick Hall and tight end John Shenker. The group will be in Atlanta on Thursday.
Fans will once again be attendance for the event. SEC commissioner Greg Sankey will make his annual state of the conference address on Monday to begin the festivities.
River Region Sports and Score 94&Hit 106 radio will have full coverage of the event beginning Monday.
