THURSDAY HOOPS: LAMP girls wrap up No. 2 seed in area play; Autaugaville boys romp

LAMP 42, Booker T. Washington 20
TUSKEGEE -- The Golden Tigers wrapped up the second seed in the upcoming 4A Area 4 tournament by defeating Booker T. Washington 42-20 in the BTW gym on Thursday night.
LAMP improved to 4-2 in area play and will face Booker T. Washington (2-4) again in the opening round of the upcoming area tournament at Catholic.
Ariana Cannida led LAMP with 15 points. Sha’Kerea Nettles added eight points and Serenity Griffin had five points to go along with nine rebounds and seven steals.
LAMP (15-10) will travel to Alabama Christian Academy on Saturday night.
Prattville Christian 74, Dallas County 19
PRATTVILLE -- Hannah Jones led the Lady Panthers with 22 points, seven rebounds and four steals as PCA completed 4A Area 5 play with an unbeaten 6-0 record.
Prattville Christian will play host to BTW Magnet in the opening round of the area tournament on Feb. 6, while Dallas County will play Wilcox Central in the opening round.
Avery Rogers added 15 points, six assists and five steals, followed by Leah Cate Wilson with 13 points and five rebounds, CoCo Thomas with 10 points and eight rebounds, Laura Beth NeSmith with six points, Ally Blankinchip with three points and four assists and Jenna McClendon with three points.
The Panthers outscored their three area rivals 432-98 in six games this season.
PCA (23-2) will travel to play Sylacauga on Friday.
Lowndes Academy 52, Ezekial 26
LOWNDESBORO -- Haley Briggs had 13 points, nine rebounds, two assists, three steals and a pair of blocked shots to lead the Rebels to a 52-26 win over Ezekial on Thursday night.
Molly Powell added 12 points, six rebounds, five assists and three steals and Harley Hooper had 10 points, one rebound, one assist and a pair of steals for Lowndes. Cameron Hess had nine points, seven rebounds, one assist and two blocked shots, followed by Riley Lane with five points, two rebounds, an assist and a steal, Catie Wallace Self with two points, three rebounds and a steal and Abby Lovell with one point and two rebounds. Haylon Self had three rebounds and two steals and Addi Bridges had a rebound.
BOYS
Autaugaville 74, Billingsley 15
BILLINGSLEY -- Jaden Nixon led a balanced attack with 12 points as the Eagles defeated Billingsley 74-15 on Thursday.
Cortez Parker added 11 points, followed by Deshawn Hall with 10.
Prattville Christian 61, Dallas County 46
PRATTVILLE -- Conner Williams led the Panthers with 19 points and 14 rebounds in a 61-46 win over Dallas County in the PCA gym on Thursday night.
PCA finished with a 4-2 record in 4A Area 5 play and will be the second seed in the upcoming area tournament. The Panthers will face third-seeded BTW Magnet in the opening round of the area tournament on Feb. 7 in Camden.
Carson Roberson added 15 points for the Panthers, followed by PJ Evans with 11 points, seven rebounds and seven assists, Brady Roberson with seven points and Cade Segars with six points, nine rebounds and six assists.
PCA (14-12) will travel to play Sylacauga on Friday.
Lowndes Academy 49, Ezekial 26
LOWNDESBORO -- Clayton Hussey had 19 points, 12 rebounds, four assists, a pair of steals and a blocked shot to lead the Rebels past Ezekial 49-26 on Thursday night.
Luke Lovell added eight points and two steals, Watters Box had seven points, six rebounds, an assist and two steals and Andrew Myers had five points and four rebounds for Lowndes, followed by Ashton Yelder with four points, six rebounds, two assists and a blocked shot, Clay Duncan with three points, six rebounds, three steals and a blocked shot and Trey Thomas with three points. Reid Owen had four rebounds, Zach Azar had two rebounds and two blocked shots and David Callaway had two rebounds.
Glenwood School 56, Evangel Christian 35
Nii Addy scored a team high 16 points for Evangel in the loss to Glenwood on Tuesday night. Isaiah Gildersleeve added nine points.
The Lions (5-14) travel to Edgewood Academy on Thursday.
Dothan 69, Prattville 52
PRATTVILLE -- Kam Shanks had 17 points, four rebounds and 10 steals for the Lions, who fell to Dothan 69-52 on Tuesday in a 7A Area 3 game at Powell Gym.
Tavious Hohenberger added nine points and three rebounds, followed by Kamran DeRamus with eight points and seven rebounds.
Prattville dropped to 1-5 in area play with the loss. The Lions (10-12) remain home to play Enterprise in an area game on Friday.
