The Montgomery Biscuits have a new voice.

Jack Sadighian has been pegged to take over play-by-play duties on the Biscuits Radio Network. He becomes the sixth broadcaster to take the position in team history and the first since Chris Adams-Wall took the job back in 2017.

“Montgomery has become a part of the great tradition of Southern League baseball,” Sadighian said. “Everybody knows who the Biscuits are and the quality of play they have provided plus the great Riverwalk Stadium. I am thrilled to have this opportunity.”

Sadighian spent the last two seasons with the broadcast crew of the Mississippi Braves. Before that, he had stops in the Cape Cod League and the California Collegiate League.

He also made appearances on ESPN and the SEC and ACC Networks.

A graduate of the University of Georgia, he was born in the Chicago area but moved with his family to Atlanta at an early age.

“Yeah, I’ve grown up on Atlanta sports so that might have pushed me in this direction,” he said. “It’s a labor of love and I am certainly interested in seeing so much of the league. I’ve actually been to all of the parks but one (Tennessee Smokies in Sevierville) so I have an idea of the travel. I’ve already had a ton of fun traveling and really enjoy the stops.”

Sadighian was chosen from a final list of three candidates.

“Jack’s broadcast ability, energy, and passion will be great for our fans and game broadcasts, ” said Biscuits general manager Michael Murphy. “We couldn’t be happier to have him as a part of the Biscuits’ organization.”

Sadighian has a keen sense of the talent level in the league and says he’s been impressed with what the Rays have put on the field at the Double A level.

“This is a make-or-break level,” he said. “(Tampa) has developed a great system and it shows up in how good their teams are at every level.

“The players (in Double A) have to  show a tool or two but you really find out if the move up is possible with what you do here. This might be a guy who could be in (Major League Baseball) but you have to show it every day. It’s fun to watch that development.”

Sadighian will travel with the Biscuits on their season-opening trip to Biloxi on April 5 before the home opener on Tuesday, April 9 against Pensacola. Tickets are available at the Biscuits website (click).
